Devito's Circus
Devito’s Circus is a small, community-focused circus based in Somerset, creating family-friendly live entertainment that brings people together through laughter, creativity, and shared experiences. Their shows blend traditional circus skills such as acrobatics, comedy, and magic with a modern, feel-good style, with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusion. As an animal-free circus, they aim to ensure audiences of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy the magic of live performance in a welcoming and supportive environment.
A key part of Devito’s Circus is its partnership with Children’s World, with both organisations sharing strong roots in supporting children through drama, creative play, and performance-based learning.
Together, Devito’s Circus and Children’s World work to make circus and performing arts accessible to as many young people as possible. Their collaboration includes free circus skills workshops, relaxed performances for children with sensory sensitivities, subsidised or free tickets for families who may otherwise be unable to attend, and opportunities for young people to gain hands-on experience in live event production. Through this partnership, both organisations use entertainment and creativity to inspire, educate, and support communities.
The work of Children's World thrives with help from some of our good friends in the community. Learn about them all here!

Glastonbury Carnival
The Glastonbury Chilkwell Guy Fawkes Carnival transforms the town into a river of light, sound, and creativity. Dating back over 160 years—with roots reaching even further into historic Bonfire Night celebrations—the event showcases spectacular “carts” (giant illuminated floats) built by dedicated carnival clubs and masqueraders who spend months crafting intricate designs. Many feature thousands of lights, performers, dancers, and themed tableaux that glide through Glastonbury’s streets in a breathtaking night time parade. Charities and local organisations are invited along to assist us with our collection on the day, in return for a % of what they each have collected, we are excited that Children's World are a part of it, earning much needed funds to carry on supporting their cause.

Tor Theatre
The wonderful Tor Theatre was established in 2006 by the immensely talented Angela Laverick and David Reakes. Based in the heart of Glastonbury, their mission has always been simple yet profound: to deliver truly memorable theatrical experiences through the power of imaginative storytelling.
A Partnership Built to Last
While their talent was undeniable, every great venture needs a foundation. Children’s World played a vital role in helping Tor Theatre take off at the start of their career, providing the support and platform they needed to bring David and Angela’s vision to life. Since those early days, the bond has only grown stronger; they have been working closely with us ever since, collaborating on countless projects to bring joy and creativity to the community.
Theatre Without Boundaries
Tor Theatre believes that a remarkable story should be accessible to everyone, everywhere. Their high-energy, engaging productions aren't confined to traditional stages—they bring the magic to:
-
Community Hubs: Village halls, community centres, and pubs.
-
Health & Care: Residential homes and hospitals.
-
Education & Outdoors: Schools, festivals, and open-air spaces.
At the heart of everything Angela and David do is a desire to give people a fantastic time and leave them wanting more. We are incredibly proud to have been part of their story since 2006 and look forward to many more years of theatrical magic together!

Yeast Scrap Store
YEAST Scrap Store is a community-based Charity, who collect local businesses re-useable waste, otherwise destined for landfill) and sell it their members for very low cost.
We are proud to regularly source resources from the YEAST Scrap store for our workshops, turning repurposed materials into engines of imagination. By choosing to reuse, we aren’t just accessing affordable tools; we are teaching the children we work with that the future is built on creative resourcefulness and environmental care.
Together, we are fostering a culture where every child learns that they have the power to transform the world around them, one scrap of treasure at a time.
