In loving memory of Grace O'Sullivan
With thanks to Grace's family for the words below:
"Our beautiful Grace brought love and light into the lives of those who knew her. A creative soul through and through, she translated her love of reading from when she was a little girl into becoming a gifted writer, publishing short stories, articles, and directing her own plays throughout college and during her time at the University of Bristol.
Acknowledged as a talented actress and singer, and always developing her artistic drawing and painting skills, Grace was a quintuple threat! Yet she stayed kind, inquisitive, industrious and ridiculously modest. Living a stone’s throw from Glastonbury Festival allowed Grace to indulge her love of music, working behind the scenes, and afterwards regaling us with tales of all the new faces she met along the way. As a caring and nurturing friend (her beloved housemates have shared many stories of how Grace would listen to their worries, cook for, comfort and counsel them) it seems Grace’s legacy is one of striving to make the world a better place than when she left it, just before her 21st birthday.
We, her family, feel this is why supporting Children’s World and its work with young people who grow up in Somerset, as she did, is the perfect fit. By contributing in a small way to the artistic inclusivity promoted by the organisation throughout the year and at Glastonbury, we are happy that others may feel empowered to experience the joys of creativity and inspiration, as Grace did."
Children's World are eternally grateful for Grace's kindness and legacy which have helped to make our new website possible.
