The Children’s World Youth Committee is a super important team of young people, just like you, who have a real voice in how our charity is run! Every charity needs genuine feedback from its younger members, and that’s where you come in.
-
Be Heard: Share your opinions and ideas directly with our Board of Trustees. You help us put together awesome new projects and make the current ones even better.
-
Be a Leader: This is the perfect training ground to become a young leader! We’ll give you real responsibilities and opportunities to help coach, assist at events, and inspire others.
-
Get Hands-On: Get involved in the exciting stuff like marketing, publicity, fundraising, event planning, and evaluating our impact.
BE THE BOSS! (sort of)
More Than Just a Committee
Children’s World wants you to have the best possible experience as part of the Youth Committee and promises to support you every step of the way.

You will also have the opportunity to gain valuable, real-life skills through official training, including First Aid, where you will learn how to help someone if they are hurt, Stewarding, where you will learn how to help run safe and exciting events, and Food Hygiene, helping you understand how to safely prepare and handle food at events.
Alongside this, Children’s World will support you with other achievements and projects by providing references to recognise your efforts, which can be used towards opportunities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award or school Endeavour Credits.
Meet the Youth Committee

As a member of the Youth Committee, I contribute in a variety of ways to support the Children’s World Charity. My role is diverse, involving administrative tasks, assisting at events and meetings, and helping wherever needed to ensure the charity runs smoothly and continues to shine. I am also a performer, specialising in circus poi, which I have been practicing since 2018. Through my performances, I aim to engage audiences and bring energy and creativity to the charity’s events.

Being a part of the Youth Committee has given me the space to be bold and has built my confidence in all areas of the Arts and Performance industry. My true passion is acting and scriptwriting, and I love being creative! I help our mission shine not just through the creative work I deliver, but also by supporting the charity with Governance and delivery shaping.

Angela serves as the guiding light and lead for our wonderful Youth Committee, naturally stepping into a supportive "mother" role that keeps everyone inspired and on track. Her dedication provides the essential foundation and overall support that allows our young creatives to flourish and lead with confidence.

So... Me, now that's a story you'll never believe. I'm Mark, a musician, writer, fantasy extraordinaire. I pride myself in creative writing, such as my Esalinti books, and also the sweet sensation of rock music. I joined the Youth Committee in 2021, and have had some of my best experiences thanks to them.

Hello, I’m Mackenzie, I also go by Peelyrex and I’ve been a part of Children’s World since September 2024. My strengths start with learning, I feel as if I learn quickly when it comes to the things that I’m passionate about which plays a big part in how I operate. My main role in children’s world is to be a photographer, I’ve been doing photography for as long as I could remember including stop motion in 2015. As I grow and develop I’m hoping to do more of the technological things.
