Off The Streets
A Week of Amazing Workshops and Skill-Building!
Making Magic Happen for Every Child!
Get ready for Off the Streets—an explosive week where Children’s World brings the community to life! Every year we team up with a powerhouse network of local volunteers, families, and organisations to ignite the potential of every child in our neighbourhood.
Regardless of background or ability, this week is all about shattering limits. We’re talking about a high-energy lineup of workshops and events designed to:
-
Fuel Confidence: Turning "I can't" into "Watch me!" through hands-on discovery.
-
Supercharge Health: Boosting mental and physical well-being with activities that get hearts racing and minds growing.
-
Build Bridges: Creating real, positive connections between young people, inspiring adults, and local heroes.
-
Inclusive Action: Low-cost, high-impact, and accessible to everyone.
We aren't just filling a calendar; we're building a stronger, more inclusive community—one unforgettable experience at a time. Off the Streets is where inspiration meets the pavement!
The Difference Off the Streets Makes
Taking part in Off the Streets teaches practical and life skills, healthy lifestyles and community appreciation and involvement. These experiences make a big difference to future decisions, encouraging ongoing participation and setting an example to peers, friends and the whole local community. By engaging young people and community volunteers with new skills and their larger community, Off the Streets inspires long term interest in activities and positive social engagement. It builds self-esteem, empowerment and a sense of achievement, along with mental and physical health.
“These opportunities develop physical confidence, social interactions, team playing and new friendship circles. The chance to grow and flourish outside the school and home setting helps children to become better members of society, to empathise and relate to others and play a positive part in unfamiliar group settings. I have observed that the work that Off The Streets does contributes hugely to the physical, mental and emotional health of the children and young people they support...”
