The Night Glastonbury Comes Unalive!
For one gloriously ghastly night, our historic town of Glastonbury is overrun by the shuffling, groaning, and surprisingly enthusiastic walking dead. The 2025 annual Zombie Walk was a grave success, a macabre celebration that had locals and visitors alike joining the ranks of the undead.
The streets pulsed with eerie energy as performers brought the night to life... or un-life. The Glastonbury Border Morris Dancers stomped out tunes so lively they might have woken the actual dead. ‘Takam’ – Day of the Dead Dancers proved skeletons have rhythm to rival the living. Dante, a brave member of the Children’s World Youth Committee, faced the hordes head-on, while the Glastonbury Dragon Drummers kept the march in grisly time with monstrous beats. Devito’s Circus amazed with feats of death-defying skill, perfectly matched to the crowd of ghouls, and The Monk delivered tunes of woe and despair, the ideal soundtrack for a rotting rave.
A massive thank you to every soul (and soul-less body) who joined the gruesome gallop! Special recognition goes to Devito’s Circus for generously supporting the event with their time and unforgettable talents. We were also grateful to The Crown Pub, a safe haven for those who still required pints of blood… or cola, and to Glastonbury Town Council, who showed remarkable tolerance for spontaneous undead uprisings.
Thanks to the generosity of our participants and spectators, this year’s event raised a spine-chilling £713.17 for charity. Remember, the Children’s World Zombie Walk is a free event, but it thrives on your donations to keep the funeral pyre… er, the event… alive!
Mark your calendars now: the next Zombie Walk will take place Saturday 31st October 2026. Prepare your costumes, practice your moans, and join us for another night of undead fun and fundraising mayhem.
