Annual Report 2002-2003
Plans for the Coming Year Sept 2003-Aug 2004
As usual, we will run
-
a Special Needs Tour during the first half of each of the 3 terms:
-
a Drama/Play Tour for children with severe learning difficulties in the Autumn Term (now completed which went extremely well),
-
a Role Play/Video Tour on Behaviour for children with moderate learning difficulties and emotional & behavioural difficulties in the Spring Term and
-
a Puppetry & Integration Workshop Weeks Tour for special schools and their neighbouring mainstream schools in the Summer Term.
In the second half of each of the 3 terms we will provide Workshops for Mainstream Schools addressing Bullying, Peer Pressure, Transition, Inclusion, Team-Building, etc.
The 4 main areas that we have chosen for further development this year are our Anti-Bullying Workshops (devising additional workshops where
children can create their own Anti-Bullying Charters and address out-of-school bullying), our Transition Workshops (creating new Workshops that will
particularly address the transition of children with additional educational needs into mainstream education), creating new, more Sensory Workshops for children who have severe and complex needs and developing our Workshops for children with emotional & behavioural difficulties.
As always, we will communicate closely with teachers at both special schools and mainstream schools, and remain open to creating new workshops that might be of
benefit to their pupils.
We will try to increase our out-of-schools-work, and look forward to our Bristol Children's Festival 23-26 July 04 and Glastonbury Children's Festival 30 July-2 August 04. We anticipate another very exciting year of innovative work, development and expansion.
