Work in Schools and Special SchoolsFirst half Autumn Term 2001:Six week SLD Drama Tour for children with severe learning difficulties.(Completed 26 October 2001) Second half Autumn Term 2001:Commissioned Integration Week for Bridgwater schools(Completed 8 November 2001) Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants' games trainings. (Completed 28 November 2001) Bullying and Peer Pressure workshops. (Completed 12 December 2001) Team Challenge days (Completed 12 December 2001) First half Spring Term 2002:Six week MLD Video Tour for children with moderate learning difficulties and behavioural problemsSecond half Spring Term 2002:"Lving History" Tudor WorkshopsProblem-solving role-play workshops Bullying and Peer Pressure workshops. New Transition workshops First half Summer Term 2002:Six week Integration Tour, based on speech, language and communication for Special Schools and their neighbouring Mainstream Schools.Second half Summer Term 2002:Inclusion workshopsTransition workshops Other mainstream work. We will continue running our Avalon Special School garden project and making the Sensory Dome available to Special Schools. Out of school workDuring holiday and half-term periods, Children's World will continue its work providing Sensory Dome packages and play packages to different groups of families with children who have special needs.We also plan to undertake some creative after-school play work with children on estates in under-privileged areas. We will be marking Children's World's 21st birthday on 3 June 2002 with a large free celebration for local children, tied in with the Queen's Golden Jubilee. The 21st Glastonbury Children's Festivalwill take place on 26, 27 and 28 July.The 3rd Bristol Children's Festivalwill take place on 2, 3, 4 and 5 August 2002 |
