Team Challenge Games Workshops

This Workshop can stand on its own or can be an excellent warm-up or follow-up to either the Peer Pressure or Bullying Workshops. A group of approximately 30 pupils are split into 2 teams and a number of different games are played (academic, physical, artistic and social). Each team member can only play in one game, so decisions have to be made as to all the children's talents and how best to use them. We finish the games by reuniting the 2 teams to play against the 3 workshops leaders.

During and after the games discussions take place with the teams asking them to analyse their team's performance. Did individuals compete in their desired event, or were they over-ruled? How did this feel? Did they feel part of the team? If not, why not? Would they make different decisions another time?

The session is aimed at valuing everyone's contribution and building good team work.

"The pupils benefit enormously from all your workshops. The Team Challenge activities were super, and the children really enjoyed them. Your team leaders are superb - they have a really good insight into working with children."
